In 2008-09, Corrections, Public Safety and Policing will establish specialized in-facility treatment units to deal with substance abuse among inmates.

Restitution orders are generally a condition of a probation or conditional sentence order. In Saskatchewan, the Corrections Division monitors those conditions including those that do not have a reporting requirement on their court order.

New restitution monitoring cases opened in the jurisdiction when sorted by ethnicity and sex appear as follows:
