Community Operations

Within Community Operations, staff members supervise offenders in the community, as an alternative to incarceration in an institution using options provided by the Ministry's case management policy. It also includes other rehabilitative alternatives such as the Fine Option and Community Service Order programs.

Community Operations also manages restitution orders and a treatment program for drivers convicted of impaired driving. The branch also operates the Volunteers in Probation program to encourage members of the community to support the re-integration of offenders into the community.
